What to watch out for in this ad:

1. The "rooms" are measured wall to wall, even if they are not cleaning the whole room (Az Carpet only charges for what we clean). Most master bedrooms, family rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, game rooms are larger than 200 square feet when measured wall to wall. So most rooms in a house are really 2 rooms, not 1. To clean a living room, Master bedroom and family room really is 6 rooms, not 3!!

2. 5 rooms for $64 includes the first 100 square feet of pre-treatment. The ad doesn't tell you how much per square foot it will cost you for more. You will need more.

3. The carpet cleaning prices doesn't include everything. How much more will they charge you to vacuum your carpets (you MUST vacuum your carpets before cleaning them), move furniture, clean spots, neutralize the pre-treatment they put in the carpet, carpet protector?? All this adds up to MUCH more money out of your pocket.

4. Hallways count as a FULL room.

5. Furniture cleaning prices do not include anything that is loose on the furniture. This means that you'll spend more money to get the pillow and cushions cleaned on your furniture.

What to watch out for in this ad:

1. The price may be $9.95 per room, but if you look under "Additional Services" you'll notice that they charge a Travel Charge that applies to ALL areas.

2. Again, under "Additional Services" you will notice that spot and stain removal is not included in the price to clean the carpet.

3. Now to the fine print, "Pre-conditioning is $.20 per square foot". With out pre-conditioning they aren't actually cleaning the carpet. For an average room, pre-conditioning is going to cost an additional $40-60.

4. Again in the fine print, "We highly recommend Carpet protector". This is another way of saying that the carpet cleaning technicians are high pressure sales people in your home who are going to strongly push carpet protector. For an average room, carpet protector is going to cost an additional $60-70.

5. You think you're going to get your carpets cleaned for $9.95 a room, but add in pre-conditioner and carpet protector and you are going to pay $110-140 a room PLUS a service charge. This is what we refer to as a bait-n-switch company. They bait you with VERY low prices but then greatly increase the price. At Az Carpet & Restoration, we don't charge extra for ANYTHING. No service charge, no extra fees for spot or stain removal or for carpet protector. You get ALL of it for our one low price.

What To Learn On This Ad:

1. 7 areas for $75 only includes 100 sq/ft of pre-conditioning. But 7 areas are going to need MUCH more pre-conditioning than just $75.

2. This ad looks pretty safe and normal, but how about the fine print in the bottom left hand corner? The first thing you'll notice is that carpet protector is not included. This is an additional charge.

3. The second thing you'll notice in the fine print is that sanitizer is not included. This is another additional cost to you.

4. Finally, in the fine print you'll also notice that there are "Travel charges to all areas".
